Encouraging Quotes

Thoughts on dying……….
‘I’m standing on the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She’s an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and the sky come down to mingle with each other. And then I hear someone at my side saying “There, she’s gone.” Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, “There, she’s gone,” there are other eyes watching her coming, and there are other voices ready to take up the glad shout, “Here she comes!” And that is dying.’ C.H. Spurgeon

“Nothingness and death are no problem to God.  It is out of nothing that He created the universe, and out of death He raised Jesus.”  John Stott
Thoughts on work………
Genesis 2:15 ” The Lord God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it.”

” Work was an important and dignified part of representing the image of God and serving Him, even before the fall.” John MacArthur, gty.org

Thoughts on worry……..
“Worry is interest paid on trouble before it’s due.” William Ens

“Worry is a thin stream of fear that trickles through the mind. If encouraged, it will cut a channel so wide that all other thoughts will be drowned in it.” copied
