A Christian Mother’s Virtues

Isaiah 49 :15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I WILL NOT FORGET YOU.”

 
As Mother’s Day approaches my thoughts turn toward my own mother who passed away seven years ago May 3rd at the age 96 and my mother-in-law who passed away in December of 2010 at age 94. I treasure the wonderful examples they both were to me and many other women.  Perhaps you did not or do not presently have such a mother as an example to follow.  God’s Word says in Isaiah that God “will not forget you.”  In His Word is recorded the lives of many God fearing women that are wonderful examples and guides for us to learn from and follow.  As a mother, may you diligently seek those virtues as exemplified by the many women in the Bible:

As you take time to study each mother, my prayer is that you will be encouraged, uplifted and strengthened in your daily walk. (You may want to print this list out and hang it on the wall as an encouragement and reminder.)

  2. Your blog is very inspiring. I love reading bible verses too. It is very uplifting. Every time I feel tired and weak, I am just turning myself to my favorite book, the bible, to read beautiful verses. It will surely strengthen me.
