And When You Pray

Psalm 81:10b “Open thy mouth wide and I will fill it.”

     Considering the vastness and wonder of space, as we did in the last blog has been such a blessing to me in my prayer life.  When I start praying and my list seems so long, I call to mind the universe (the heavens) and the millions and billions of stars and planets that God created.  Like a tiny ant taking a few grains of wheat out of a huge silo, I realize that certainly my one hundred or so requests are nothing to Him.  How encouraged I am to lay before God all my heart.
    Reread the above scripture verse again: “Open thy mouth wide.”
    I want to:

    Not just ask a few, but ask largely, ask many;
    Not just ask timidly, but ask boldly;
    Not just ask doubtfully, but ask with assurance
    Not just ask fearfully, but confidently in faith

Why? Because our God hears all and answers all. His promises are sure.
     Reread the above Scripture verse: “and I  will  fill  it.

     Remember: Pray when you feel like it, because it would be a shame to miss that opportunity.  Pray when you don’t feel like it, because that’s when you really need it!
