Genesis 9:13 “I set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.”
14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” Genesis 9:14-17
Even today, as we enjoy the beauty of a rainbow, let us also rejoice and find comfort that our God is a covenant-keeping God . His promises are always sure, His plans for our lives, (though sometimes strange and/or painful to us,) are always for our good, and we can fully trust and rest in His powerful arms and great love
“For this is like the waters of Noah to MeFor as I have sworn
So have I sworn
That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10 For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
